I’ve worked with Vibrant Frog for over a decade – across three companies and two countries. That should tell you something.

I first came across them back in 2010 at Corporate Express. I went through their company leadership development program and their public group coaching program Action on Purpose. The latter was a game-changer – the plans I made throughout that program I have essentially executed over time. And the leadership skills I got, I use to this day. I rolled it out to my whole team over several years.

When I moved to lead NXP in New Zealand, I brought them in again. We grabbed Action on Purpose and ran it during COVID for Execs and key talent across the business. Seamless. High impact. The Frogs bring both smarts and heart to everything they do, so they quickly moved from ‘suppliers’ to trusted partners. Working with them is always a joy!  

It can be daunting, bringing new facilitators into a feisty leadership team and taking responsibility for the call. It wasn’t an easy gig. Opinions were plentiful, energy high and revenue targets were front of mind for every leader in the room. Thrown in at the deep end, the Frogs read the situation and gained my confidence before we got to morning tea. Initially hired for just one day, to facilitate our leadership workshop, they brought such energy, insight and courage that it was immediately clear they could help us tackle some of our most pressing business challenges. 

Not only did they ask the right questions, but they took the time to get under the surface and really understand the dynamics within our business. They brought a rare combination of emotional intelligence and consulting expertise, so I knew I could simply share the outcome we needed and they’d create a practical, powerful plan to get us there. Never did I need to hand-hold, monitor progress or even brief them extensively; they quickly grasped my shorthand and became part of our business. They were also superbly flexible and light on their feet in handling the variety of curve balls that  came our way!

Sometimes the conversations we needed to have were challenging. Downright uncomfortable, even. They never shied away and they held that responsibility with care and skill, often finding places to inject humour to ease the tension. They left a lasting impact across this senior team.

Our one-day workshop was the start of a long relationship that has survived multiple job moves and a couple of international relocations. We’ve had scope changes, late nights, times when we were all tested to the max, but we always came out the other side with a solid solution (a real ‘wow-factor’), and with stories to make us all laugh.
